    About Technology- Quality Engineering

    Quality Engineering establishes standards, certifies technology products and services, drives continuous integration/delivery strategy and provides governance oversight to all technology changes.

    Overall Purpose of role

    The Testing Engineer is responsible for test planning and execution for all BCUS’s technology solutions

    o Drive innovation in test strategy and methodology

    o Ensure success of continuous integration and quality control

    o Ensure high-quality solutions

    o Establish quality assurance standards and best practices for testing

    • Your Role (Key Accountabilities) *

    o Review requirements and design specifications with an emphasis towards product testability

    o Develop test strategies with developers, automators and team members

    o Design and execute manual testing, including exploratory testing

    o Ensure traceability of testing across all layers and test types

    o Manage test data

    o Work with the Quality Assurance organization to ensure established procedures, standards and processes are utilized consistently

    o Maintains quality standards for own work; detail-oriented

    o Develop and sustain positive relationships with peers administration

o Manage the adherence and quality of all Administrative responsibilities according to prescribed timelines including:

o Performance Development Process

o Timesheets

o Information Security Training and Acceptable Use Policy submissions

o Support Quality Assurance goals

  • Basic Qualifications/Skills *

    o BS/BE/BA in Computer Science

    o 5 years of testing on large software systems

    o 2 year Experience with TSYS

  • Preferred Qualifications/Skills *

    o / Ex / cellent testing planning skills

    o Excellent leadership skills; ability to drive quality initiatives

    o Experience working in an agile development environment, preferably Scrum

    o Good SQL knowledge and able to create and work with databases

    o Excellent problem-solving skills

    o Excellent communication and documentation skills

    o Excellent team player with ability to work with multiple stake holders

    o Excellent ability to deliver under pressure

    o Solid organizational skills with proven ability to multi-task, handle multiple assignments simultaneously, and effectively bring discussions and issues to closure

    o Solid project management skills, including ability to coordinate, negotiate, schedule and communicate with all levels of staff

    o Masters or PhD

    o Experience with Application Lifecycle Management tools such as HP ALM

o Expertise in one or more of: Java, Groovy, C/C , Python, PHP, Ruby, Perl, VB.NET

o Experience with Webservices

o Experience with descriptive/advanced programming in test automation tools like SOAPUI Pro, Selenium, Ranorex, SeeTest. QTP

o Have written functions/re-usable methods that will be globally accessed

o Experience in creating test objects using multiple object repositories with identification UI elements

o Experience with Test Driven Development

o Experience with unit testing tools such as NUnit, TestNG, JUnit

o Experience with Continuous Quality Control through automated testing in support of Continuous Integration

o Experience with source control and configuration management systems such as SVN/CVS/Jenkins/Hudson/Nolio/SONAR/Fisheye/Crucible

o In-depth knowledge of quality management methodologies, principles, metrics and tools.
