As a Procurement Data Analytics Manager in Wilmington, DE you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives.

As a member of the North America Procurement team, you will execute and deliver data driven analysis in support of strategic sourcing projects and department initiatives. This is a highly analytical position requiring the ability to manipulate and derive insights from large volumes of data.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the development of the Procurement Analytics strategy, including shaping the future focus areas of the team.

  • Pro-actively seeks to drive category/supplier/spend opportunities through data analysis. This includes partnering closely with Procurement Stakeholders and Business Stakeholders

  • Delivers supply market intelligence and insights to Procurement managers via active management of external subscriptions and services

  • Assists cross-functional sourcing project teams through all key project phases, such as requirements gathering, strategy development, RFx, award recommendation, contract negotiation and supplier implementation

  • Leads the development, tracking and reporting of key department performance and compliance metrics to a variety of business audiences

  • Identify business improvement opportunities within large data sets that may be internal, external or market driven.

  • Responsible for planning, building, and maintaining analytics solutions for the NAM Commercial Procurement group. Ability to apply technical knowledge of databases (especially SQL Server) and programming (in R, Python, etc.) to create solutions with real-world data

  • Defines and maintains data management standards to ensure the delivery of consistent, accurate business analysis and metrics for key department activities, including:

  • Spend categorization

  • Spend assessments

  • Cost Modeling

  • Financial risk reviews

  • Compliance reporting

  • Work with Procurement and Business stakeholders to build and maintain strategic analytical programs/applications in order to put in place business solutions.

Essential Requirements

  • Exceptional track record of data driven analysis

  • Demonstrated expertise in:

  • Manipulating large datasets & extrapolating insights

  • Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Access

  • Commonly used BI tools (Qlik, Tableau, Microstrategy)

  • SQL / Python / R

  • Manipulating large datasets & extrapolating insights

  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational, problem solving, communication, and professional interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable translating data and insights to Senior Executives

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

    Desired Experience

  • MBA or graduate degree

  • Specific experience with supply chain or sourcing analysis

  • Experience with SAP and/or Ariba is a plus
