In Lab Informatics Product Specialist role, you'll join a dynamic and high-achieving sales team responsible for growing the Lab Informatics business. In this critical role, you will pair your experience with analytical instrumentation and our core markets, with your desire to sell, to drive growth in the Chromatography Data Systems, Data Management Systems, and Electronic Lab Notebook product lines.
Act on sales leads for informatics systems, interpreting customer needs and developing solutions for these customers
Maintaining a sales funnel, following up on opportunities, quoting customers, and ultimately driving the sale to completion
Driving order growth and market share through outbound prospecting activities
Acquiring new customers and retaining and growing an existing installed base of customers.
Supporting the AFO Informatics business throughout the sales process
Answering technical/product specific questions for our various informatics offerings
Continually develop sales skills through training, coaching and self-review
This position will be permanently based in the greater Boston area. 3-6 months of training will be in our Wilmington DE. Office. The successful candidate will work from a home office with access to local Agilent facilities.
BS/MS degree in Computer Networking, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a relevant Science and Technology field
No prior experience required;
Strong problem-solving skills
Desire to work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment
Proven sales track record and passion for sales.
Must have proficient computer skills; experience in use of database software applications such as SAP, CRM, and Microsoft Office
Proficiency with SAP quoting requirements
Excellent verbal, written and phone communications skills, with a strong interest in interacting directly with customers via in person
Available for up to 50% travel if needed.
