The Federal Acquisition Lifecycle Specialist will serve as a member of the Functional Team and will support the client's audit readiness goals through a variety of work streams. The team member will be required to have a deep understanding of asset management related internal controls, such as existence and completeness, physical inventory performance, asset tracking and reporting, etc. The team member will have a deep understanding of DoD procurement and asset life cycles or logistics, experience with Federal financial statements, or extensive experience supporting DoD Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness objectives.


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Information Systems, or related

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in one of more of the following capabilities: Federal property management or logistics, DoD FIP/FIAR, or DoD acquisition lifecycle management or procurement

  • US Citizenship Required

Preferred Skills:

  • Deep understanding of existence and completeness (E&C) of assets and E&C documentation and testing

  • Experience with valuing historical assets using actual costs or estimation procedures

  • Federal audit readiness and accounting experience performing internal controls and substantive testing, and other basic audit procedures (i.e. test plan creation, documentation of findings).

  • Experience in systems engineering, change management, or business process re-engineering (BPR)

  • Preferred Certifications: Certified Government Financial Management (CGFM); Certified Defense Financial Management (CDFM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), DAWIA certifications

  • General understanding of accounting system processing and interfaces, specifically ERP systems

  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian

  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member

  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
