Responsibilities include:

Provide technical support to the Manufacturing Departments including designing and arranging for the manufacture of test and manufacturing tools, gauges and fixtures. All changes to drawings or bills of material generated by production personnel will be reviewed by the Manufacturing Engineer (Mfg. E.) before revisions are submitted. The Mfg. E. will investigate and correct all reports of production problems, low yield, safety & ergonomic difficulties and drawings and parts list inaccuracies. The Mfg. E. will work with the design teams, and business teams to introduce new products (and major changes to existing products) into production efficiently and with minimum disruption. The Mfg. E. will assist in the preparation of budget and capital equipment estimates for each department, assist in the requisition and purchase of all tools, fixtures and capital equipment for the departments. The goal is to produce high quality products at the lowest possible cost, consistent with our customer expectations, and our safety & personnel policies and guidelines. Occasionally, duties may vary as deemed necessary by business conditions.

Position Requirements:

BS Degree in engineering preferred or AS Degree plus equivalent experience. Two to four years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Must have a good understanding of physics, basic engineering and their application to manufacturing and be proficient at reading electrical and mechanical drawings, routings, test specifications and bills of material.

Ability to troubleshoot circuit boards at a component level is preferred.

Interpersonal skills, the ability to work with a wide variety of personalities, is a primary prerequisite of this position.

Prior supervisory experience and supply chain interaction experience is a plus.
