Position Summary:

The Manager of Digital Marketing is responsible for executing digital marketing strategy and developing marketing campaigns to acquire new members for Upromise. The Manager will use web technologies to achieve our business growth goals and to identify, reach and convert leads into Upromise members. He/she will identify needs and new opportunities and aspire to increase brand awareness. This position reports directly to the Director of Digital Marketing.

The position will work closely with many internal and external teams including but not limited to; creative agencies, product development, research, operations, legal, finance and technology and will maintain positive, productive relationships with external partners to continually innovate and optimize member acquisition campaigns connect our brand with our online members.

The successful candidate for this position should enjoy working in fast paced, entrepreneurial environments, and have excellent communication and project management skills.

This position involves:

  • Developing and executing digital media strategies that align and support our brand
  • Executing interactive and engaging marketing campaigns
  • Identifying influencers and advocates in the digital/social media environment
  • Defining KPIs and measuring and analyzing digital /social media campaigns
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on research and social media listening

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Marketing Execution - 30%

  • Assist with the execution of all digital marketing across all channels including but not limited to; email, SEO/SEM, mobile, web, marketing database, social media, blogs and other appropriate channels
  • Produce valuable and engaging content for our website, blog and social media that attracts and converts our target audience
  • Craft clear product marketing copy
  • Work independently to plan, manage and track assigned projects
  • Establish best practices in digital marketing
  • Plan and maintain Upromise social media presence
  • Assist with the planning, execution and measurement of experiments and conversion tests

Digital Media Strategy - 25%

  • Set digital marketing strategies using all necessary tools (website, emails, social media, blogs, etc.)
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create digital marketing plans
  • Work independently to plan, manage and track assigned projects
  • Grow audiences and increase engagement across digital and social media channels
  • Develop and implement cross-functional campaigns
  • Keep up-to-date with our audience's preferences and proactively suggest new campaigns
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Identify creative opportunities to leverage social platforms to extend brand messages
  • Strategic listening to identify opportunities, trends and issues
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and opportunities and provide guidance to stakeholders

Digital Marketing Measuremen - 25%

  • Assist with developing KPIs, benchmarking and reporting for digital marketing campaigns
  • Measure, analyze and make recommendations on digital marketing campaign performance
  • Monitor marketing and sales performance to forecast trends
  • Analyze web traffic metrics and suggest solutions to boost web presence
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of marketing campaigns
  • Optimize marketing performance across channels

Leadership and Development - 20%

  • Be a positive and motivating influencer and contributor
  • Cultivate positive relationships with Upromise team and cross-functional teams
  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Seek out professional development opportunities that enhance expertise and influence in the role

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communication or other related field and/or equivalent work experience

Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of progressive experience in Digital Marketing or Communications, preferable in financial services or another highly regulated industry
  • Demonstrable experience with SEO/SEM and CRM software
  • Knowledge of the digital and social ecosystem, including working relationships with social platforms and partners
  • Preferred experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools like Google Analytics
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience implementing and optimizing digital marketing campaigns
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, anticipate issues and work towards solutions
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data from marketing campaigns and provide insights and recommendations
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Creative thinker with strong analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to travel on limited basis
