Position Summary Provide support to the ISP Maintenance & Engineering staff for continuous improvement projects on Gentle Glide, O.B. & Sport machines. This is a full time intern opportunity.
Accountabilities ••Participate in the installation of modules or modifications to machines, which may include utilizing small hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, socket drivers, etc.)

•Work with Contract Designers with reading mechanical prints to determine how to install components/modules.

•Assist with power-up and debug of installed components/systems, which will include checking for machine functionality.

•Prepare documentation for validation and change control purposes.

•May assist with modifying existing machine prints or creating new drawings for designed machine parts.

•Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience ••A high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years education in an accredited degree program majoring in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

•Basic understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals (physics, materials, pneumatics, etc.)

•Must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel & Word, and Adobe. CAD experience preferred.

•Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral.

Working Relationships & Environment •Reports to Mechanical Engineer. Key relationships internally will include Engineering, Maintenance Operations, Quality, and R&D.

•Maintenance activities around moving and idle equipment, travel throughout the plant, extensive interaction with all plant personnel, standing, walking, reaching, bending, crouching, working in awkward positions, climbing, occasional lifting or moving of heavy weight up to 50 lbs. required, (lift assist for weights over 50 lbs.)

•Work schedule is typically day shift, 40 hours a week. Schedule may vary from typical business hours as needed for projects.

•Exposure to health risks or conditions that may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
