          REGISTERED RESPIRATORY THERAPIST
          Department: Respiratory Therapy
          Schedule: Full time 72 (Two week Payperiod)
          Shift: Variable
          Hours: 7p-7a, 7a-7p

          The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides age specific respiratory care to patients of all ages; neonates, infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers, school-age patients, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients of Bayhealth Medical Center according to physician prescription. Serves as a professional resource to Bayhealth customers, both internal and external.

          Minimum/Preferred Requirements:

          Education:Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of Respiratory Care with an Associate of Science degree required. Bachelor of Science degree is preferred.

          Experience:6 months experience preferred.

          Certification/License:Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), Delaware license to practice Respiratory Care and Current BCLS Certification required. NRP and ACLS Certifications are to be obtained within 9 months of obtaining employment.

          Computer/Software Knowledge:Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel applications, keyboarding skills, and the ability to utilize order entry systems. Experience using computer software applications to document patient therapies and/or treatments.

          Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal, reasoning, and time management/ organizational skills.
